Wonder Woman: an open world from the creators of Shadow of War and Condemned

The Game Awards evening will have been full of surprises, that's for sure. Among the games that have been announced and that have not been leaked, there is this Wonder Woman that nobody saw coming and which is however developed by a large studio. Warner Bros Games has indeed mandated Monolith Productions (the other, not the Software) to bring the most famous of the Amazons to life. Known for having given birth to games such as No One Lives Forever, FEAR, Condamned (1 and 2) and the two Lord of the Rings games Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, Monolith Productions promises a solo open world adventure that will offer a completely original story. The player will play Diana de Themyscira who will have to unify the Amazon people with the Humans in a modern world. On the gameplay side, not much is known except that the game will reuse the Nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War so that players can form deep bonds with their enemies and their allies, with the added bonus a class and evolution system that will allow AI to progress both physically and via skills.

“At Monolith Productions, we believe in the power of player-driven storytelling to unite people. The stories our players share inspire us every day, and we are honored to take them on a unique personal journey, guided by the values embodied by Wonder Woman, ” said David Hewitt, Vice President, Studio Head at Monolith Productions . “The Nemesis System has raised the bar in player-defined storytelling, and we're excited to advance the open world genre by combining cutting edge action with inventive storytelling to create a Wonder Woman game that everyone will want. player.”

It is recalled that the Nemesis system was patented by Monolith Productions and Warner Bros Games at the start of the year, which explains why it is reused in this Wonder Woman which looks promising.
